A versatile, easy to use tool for the design of all types of highway and route alignments.
A major focus of the development program for this software has been, and continues
to be, on automating the design process where possible and ensuring design changes
are immediately reflected throughout the design. The software contains all of the tools
necessary for effective road and highway design. The alignment design software utilises
string modelling to achieve the flexibility required by today's design engineers.

Alignment design includes:

• Digital modelling and contouring
• Interactive horizontal and vertical alignment
• Element and IP design methods
• Violation checks against user defined criteria
• Varying width single or dual carriageways
• Automated response to design change
• Surface analysis
• Complete project cut and fill calculations
• User defined design and parameter files
• Automated vertical alignment design
• Dynamic alignment editing
• Forward and junction visibility display
• Junction and turning heads including user defined shapes
• Design of features related to the master alignment or
  carriageway channels

Highway Design includes all of the above plus:

• A set of advanced design tools to deal effectively with non-standard design
situations such as complex roundabouts, slip roads, split carriageways etc.

• Transition curve design

• Sophisticated highway design made easy through the effective use of the latest
  object and string modelling technique.
